Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu (/rupt/ /zrɑk/ [custom] [nursery]) is a temperate Town located in the Ftuzmïlärtä Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu is derived from the Gnollish language, as Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu was founded by Xux vyim Rolɑrtɑirdirn, who was culturaly Gnollish.

Climate

Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu has a yearly average temperature of 5°C (41°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 23°C (73°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool -13°C (9°F). Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu receives an average of 216 cm/y (85 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Overview

Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu was founded durring the early 12th century in fall of the year 1131, by Xux vyim Rolɑrtɑirdirn. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu is buildings are built arround a single broad split-log ties mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu's walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the town's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. Unfortuantly, these boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the simple fact that it is abundantly clear Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu long.

Cultural Notes

Two or more groups of citizens within Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu hate each other. Their neighbors or the local law have kept things from too-overt violence, but members of the groups will constantly interfere with their rivals and cause whatever misery they can get away with. This hate may spring from recent events, or it may be an inherited spite from old wrongs.

Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. A great hole opened up beneath Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu, swallowing large sections of the community. Rupt-zräk Rudnoplu lost 120 people, 157 livestock, and 32 buildings in the disaster. This disaster is often refereed to as The Loss Swallowing.
